1. Product Introduction

AZGIANT door lock actuator motors are DC 12V miniature DC motors specially designed for automotive central locking systems. All AZGIANT motors are developed and produced based on original factory motor standards, with identical mounting hole positions, shaft size, worm gear modulus, torque output and electrical parameters as the original OE motors.

This product is an internal replacement motor for car door lock assemblies, not a complete lock mechanism. It receives polarity-reversing signals from the vehicle central control module and drives the lock fork through the integrated worm gear to complete door locking and unlocking actions.

Available Models:

 FC-130: Small size, standard low torque, suitable for auxiliary doors and small vehicle locks

 FC-280: Medium torque, most universal model, widely used in most family vehicles (best-selling OE replacement type)

 FC-380: High torque version, strong load capacity, suitable for SUVs, MPVs and old lock bodies with large mechanical resistance

2. Pre-Installation Preparation

2.1 Tools & Materials

Screwdriver set, door panel removal tool, wire stripper, crimping pliers, multimeter, heat shrink tubes, flame-retardant cable ties, shockproof rubber pads.

2.2 Product Inspection

Check the motor appearance, worm gear integrity and shell condition. Use a multimeter to test circuit continuity to confirm no open circuit or short circuit. All AZGIANT motors are 12V standard voltage and fully compatible with original mounting structures.

2.3 Vehicle Safety Operation

Turn off the vehicle power supply and disconnect the car battery negative terminal before installation to avoid surge current damage to the vehicle ECU and motor circuit.

3. Standard Installation Procedure

3.1 Remove Door Panel & Lock Assembly

Remove the door interior panel carefully, disconnect window lift wires and door light connectors, then take out the door lock assembly from the door sheet metal.

3.2 Dismantle Original Motor

Open the plastic lock housing, separate the original motor worm gear from the lock fork, and remove the old motor completely. Clean internal dust, dirt and rust to ensure smooth mechanical movement.

3.3 Install AZGIANT Replacement Motor

Place the AZGIANT motor into the original motor bracket. Since it is produced based on OE size standards, 100% original position installation without modification is available. Align the integrated worm gear with the lock fork correctly to ensure precise meshing without jamming or offset. Install shockproof pads and fasten screws evenly with standard torque.

3.4 Wiring & Insulation Protection

The 12V door lock motor uses polarity reversal control. The two wires have no fixed positive or negative polarity. The car central control changes the current direction to control forward and reverse rotation.

Fix wires neatly, avoid moving parts and sharp edges, use heat shrink tubes for waterproof and anti-oxidation insulation, and use cable ties for tidy routing.

3.5 Reassembly & Reset

Close the lock body shell, reinstall the door lock assembly, restore the waterproof membrane, reconnect all electrical connectors, and install the door panel back in place.

3.6 Function Testing

Reconnect the car battery. Test locking and unlocking repeatedly through the inner door switch and remote key. Observe motor response speed, sound and mechanical smoothness. Test more than 20 cycles continuously to confirm stable operation without overheating, jamming or intermittent failure.

4. Important Installation Notes

4.1 Mechanical Precautions

 AZGIANT motors are strictly OE-based in size, worm modulus and stroke parameters.

 Do not use low-torque models (FC-130) to replace high-torque original motors, which will cause overload, jamming and motor burnout.

 Ensure reasonable meshing gap between worm gear and lock fork; avoid excessive stroke leading to locked-rotor burnout.

 Shockproof rubber pads must be installed to eliminate vibration resonance noise.

4.2 Electrical Precautions

 Always disconnect the battery before wiring to prevent reverse electromotive force from damaging the vehicle ECU.

 Do not supply constant 12V direct power to the motor, which will cause continuous single-direction rotation and burnout.

 All wiring joints must be waterproof and insulated to prevent oxidation and intermittent failure.

5. Troubleshooting

 Motor runs idle but cannot lock/unlock: Insufficient torque or blocked lock mechanism

 Locking stroke incomplete: Improper worm and fork meshing position

 Motor stops after several uses: Overheating protection caused by mechanical resistance or wrong model selection

6. Acceptance Standard

 Motor fixed firmly, no vibration or abnormal noise

 Smooth worm gear and fork transmission, complete lock and unlock stroke
